zebra poetry film award

zebra poetry film award (berlin) is the only festival devoted to cinema and poetry or poetry films. organised by literaturwerkstatt, one of the most dynamic entities within the berlin literary circles, it also partakes of the activities of the berlin poetry festival (www.poesiefestival.org). this year it is the second edition of this festival which has already consolidated itself as the platform of the new genre of dynamic and short films which evolve from a cross between literature, cinema and other new technological means. some fifty countries have participated in this event which has become a meeting point for audiovisual artists of many different origins. it also represents an excellent way to circulate poetry beyond all linguistic and cultural borders.
PROPOSTA 2004 will show a selection of the films from the participants in the second edition (july 2004), among which the five films awarded. the projections will be preceded by a presentation from christiane lange, one of the promoters of the zebra awards.
