escriptures de l’excés
poetry, net and technology in the era of access.

bernard baud

escriptures de l’excés (textus vs textus vs textus) is a project concerning the extremes of literature; it’s about those scriptures working on the edge of literature and overtaking the book: sound and massive, inaccessible scriptures. scriptures which, immersed in the era of access as we all are nowadays, find on the net the ideal medium to be diffused.

the project has a virtual and material body, although the base is the growing website created in 2001 and which is still expected to grow more in the next few months. hypertexts, sound pieces, a textual poster and coordinates to get to know the extreme scriptures world are some of the things involved in the project. so far several young authors have participated: albert balasch, robert juan-cantavella, josep perelló, anne-james chaton, llorenç bonet, pedro soler, eugenio tisselli, dídac p. lagarriga and eduard escoffet.

the project is supported by propost (poetic projects with no tittle) and ooze.bâp. in 2001 it was given a grant to young creativity by krtu. now PROPOSTA 2002 hosts the public come-out of the project, consisting on two performances located on the territories the project works on.

bernard baud close collaboration with barcelona's operatives fiftyfifty.org + oozebap.org could define his formal approach. writing and splicing vocals in a digitalia life, baud can crosspollinate influences from everywhere (textual forms, mafia stories, sci-fi, interviews...) and then screen them.

a text made by words, a text made by pixels, a text made by waves...
